    SHARING WITH MATCHMAKERS

If you have opted in to matchmaker visibility by checking the "Share my profile with matchmakers" box in your profile settings, your profile information may be shared with trusted third-party matchmakers. SERVICE PROVIDERS

We work with third-party service providers to operate our Services, including a customer relationship management and communications platform, a cloud database and hosting provider, an event ticketing platform, and a web hosting provider. These providers process personal information on our behalf and are contractually obligated to protect it and use it only for the purposes we specify.

    DATA RETENTION

We retain your personal information for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide our Services. We conduct routine data cleanup at least every six months to remove information no longer needed for these purposes. If you request account deletion, we will deactivate your profile and remove it from public visibility. Some information is retained after your profile is deactivated or deleted. Specifically, we retain records of events you attended, records of purchases you made, and any safety reports involving you. We retain event and purchase records as ordinary business and financial records, including to meet tax and accounting obligations. We retain safety reports to protect other participants and to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Inactive profiles. If you have not signed in, attended an event, made a purchase, or otherwise engaged with us for six months, we may archive your profile. Signing in restores it.

An archived profile may be deleted after an extended period of continued inactivity. When we delete a profile, we remove your personal and profile information, including your name, contact details, date of birth, photographs, biography, and preferences. Records of events you attended and purchases you made are retained in a form that no longer identifies you.

CHOICES ABOUT HOW WE USE AND DISCLOSE YOUR INFORMATION

You can set your browser to refuse all or some browser cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If you disable cookies, some parts of this site may be inaccessible or not function properly. To opt out of targeted advertising or data sharing, contact us at info@thesmittenproject.com.

Nevada residents who wish to exercise their sale opt-out rights under Nevada Revised Statutes Chapter 603A may submit a request to info@thesmittenproject.com. We do not currently sell data triggering that statute's opt-out requirements.

    ACCESSING AND CORRECTING YOUR INFORMATION

You can review and change your personal information by logging into the Website and visiting your account profile page. If you delete your User Contributions, copies may remain viewable in cached and archived pages. Proper access and use of information provided on the Website is governed by our Terms of Service at smittensingles.com/terms-of-service.

    ARCHIVING YOUR PROFILE

You may archive your profile yourself at any time from your profile page. Archiving is immediate and does not require you to contact us.

When you archive your profile: you are removed from matching and will not be considered for future matches or introductions; you stop receiving emails and text messages from us; your profile is hidden from our team and from matchmakers; and any consent you gave to share your profile with matchmakers is withdrawn.

We may also archive profiles that have been inactive for six months. See Data Retention above.

Archiving is reversible. If you sign in again, your profile is restored. You will not receive emails or text messages again unless you choose to opt back in.

Archiving is not deletion. See Data Retention above for what we keep, and Deleting Your Account below if you want your personal information removed.

    DELETING YOUR ACCOUNT

If you only want to stop being matched and stop hearing from us, archive your profile instead. See Archiving Your Profile above. This section covers removal of your personal information. You may request deletion of your account and personal information at any time by emailing info@thesmittenproject.com. Upon request, we will deactivate your profile and remove it from active use within 30 business days. Certain information may be retained as described in our Data Retention section above or as required by law.
